Sabor
Latin beat downtown
Sabor opened without much fanfare shortly after Thanksgiving on a downtown street only a local could find, in the basement of the old  Allen Hotel, with no sign outside to guide you . But once you are seated in a very forgettable blue-on-blue dining room, you can look forward to a delicious unforgettable meal.

The menu leaves you unsure whether you’re in an American, Latin, or French restaurant- or a dinner with a few pasta dishes thrown in.
   But the food is terrific.

A chunky guacamole with just enough cilantro an lime, surrounded by home made tortilla chips is one of the appetizers you must try.
Though not on the menu yet, the shrimp ceviche, a South American dish of raw seafood that is “cooked” by marinating in a citrus juice, usually lime, is sure to become a signature starter.

If you prefer to begin with a soup , the roasted tomato with fresh basil and a dollop of cream is flavorful, smooth, and rich tasting needing no additional spice.

The menu offer something for everyone.

Special to the Eagle

We have come a long way since our opening, more than a year a go. We have remodeled our dinning room Sabor entree to offer you a cozy and relaxing atmosphere.

We have upgraded our bar, and wine selection, and based in the feedback from our dear customers selected the very best of the Latin cuisine.

That is why our menu changes according to the season and the preferences of our clientele. We are looking forward to publish the reviews from Berkshire living and the Boston globe.
